I'm Aakash Vasa, a Chartered Accountant who spent nearly 12 years at Deloitte building financial models, pricing tools and analytics for teams in the UK, Europe, Australia, Canada and the Middle East. Through Aarna Insights I take on projects and part-time or fractional roles, working remotely or on-site in Mumbai.

About
I started in audit at Deloitte in 2014 and moved into financial modelling and data analytics, where I spent most of the next decade. When I left in 2026 I was an Associate Director in the Modelling & Insights team and the geography lead for Australia, Canada, and the Netherlands and Belgium.
The work I enjoy most sits where finance meets data: models that have to scale, tools that thousands of people rely on, and slow spreadsheet processes rebuilt so they run faster and are easier to check. I also like teaching it.
